Previously, Vintage Neon Signs were made of thin glass tubes filled with gases that luminate when triggered with high voltage. The trend was a dying art as handful knew how to make neon signs and as the trend aged so did the neon artists. Original Glass Neon Signs were rare and extremely expensive equally super fragile and high-power consuming.
The trend was dead for the early 2000 and start peaking since a decade when LEDs could replicate the same look and feel of Neon with more than half the cost and 12 times less energy consuming. LED Neon are 12V powered compared to Glass Neon that used 480V and LED Neons are made of Silicone tubes, hence completely flexible and non-fragile.
