Installation guide
No professional tools needed. Most installations take under 30 minutes.
Measure the area where the profile will run. Mark your start and end points with a pencil. For curved surfaces, use a flexible tape to follow the contour.
Wipe the mounting surface clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Remove any dust, grease, or old adhesive. Allow to dry completely before mounting.
Cut the LED strip to your required length at the marked cut points (every 5cm on most strips). Slide the strip into the silicone channel — it should fit snugly with the LEDs facing outward.
Peel the adhesive backing and press the silicone profile firmly along your marked line. For heavier installations or high-heat areas, use mounting clips every 50cm for extra hold.
Connect the LED strip to your driver or power supply. Switch on and check for even illumination along the entire length. Tuck away any visible wiring using cable clips for a clean finish.

Silicone LED profiles are used to house and protect LED strip lights while diffusing the light for a clean, even glow. They're ideal for cove ceiling lighting, kitchen under-cabinet lighting, staircase edge lighting, outdoor garden paths, architectural façades, retail signage, and furniture backlighting. Because they're flexible, they can follow curves and contours that rigid aluminium channels cannot.
For most modern applications, yes. Silicone profiles are flexible (bend to any curve), UV and yellowing resistant, IP67 waterproof, lighter weight, and easier to install without brackets or drilling. Aluminium channels are rigid and better suited only for long straight runs where heat dissipation is a priority. For curved surfaces, outdoor use, or DIY installations, silicone profiles are the smarter choice.

They are also UV resistant and do not crack or yellow in direct sunlight. Yes — simply use scissors or a sharp blade to cut the silicone profile to your required length. The silicone cuts cleanly without cracking or fraying. Remember to also cut your LED strip only at the designated cut marks (usually every 5cm) to avoid circuit damage. After cutting, seal the open LED strip end with a silicone end cap if using outdoors to maintain the IP67 waterproof rating.
